The emergence of self-made media and its extension towards web tv is the fruit of a multiple and complex history where the development of webcams, videosurveillance, local television, alternative media and real-time video broadcasting technology overlap. Today's e-media is setting different economic standards, a different image and information system and different fields of skill and invention based around production, content creation and the ergonomics of images and interfaces. With multichannels and multisupports adapted to mobility and roaming, Web tv is redefining interactivity and the information landscape, while reducing the technical skills for the Internet network into a context where every individual will be able to produce their own Web tv.
