Resume : Philippe Caloud is graduated from Ensimag, an IT and applied mathematics engineering school. He has got a PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from Grenoble University, and he did a Post-doctorate research at Stanford University, in the Robotics Lab.

He then joined Matra-Espace/Matra Marconi Space, where he developed innovative products dedicated to the diagnosis and to the design of telecommunication satellites.

Within Hewlett-Packard, he participated to the development of the OpenCall line of telecommunication products, including SS7 and Intelligent Network platforms. He then moved to a management position, in charge of a system engineering group dedicated to the pre-sale and post-sale support of telecommunication operators and equipment provider partners.

He then joined Inovatel, a company created by the Cegetel Group to innovate in the field of fixed and mobile telecommunication services.
In 2001, he was named director of Inovatel, which was discontinued as an independent company, and integrated as an operational division of SFR.

He is now in charge of the Direction of Future Products Discovery, with the charter to define the innovative product and services plan, to validate these by qualitative and quantitative market testing, and to transfer the selected products for industrialisation to the engineering directions.

One of his major objectives is to enhance the mobile services user experience, with a strong focus on a simplified and coherent integration of mobile internet services in mobile phones.
